Here I am again, another 1am. The boys were up, the boys are down, I’m here with you squandering sleep time. It shan’t been long tonight, however. Just thought I’d post this little pic from the other day, when we got our Rolls Royce stroller all put together and loaded up-like with babes. The actual streets and sidewalks are far too gunked up for this vehicle to have significant meaning for us until, say, April. But I enjoyed packing the boys in and driving them throughout the apartment, especially making that annoying beeping sound for reverse. The steering wheel may look frivolous, but believe me – it ain’t. Gosh, I only wish I had a film to post of my glorious three-point turns! Tomorrow it’s back to the doctor for routine visit #2. But now, I’ll leave you to your devices (and let you you ooh and aah over this one of mine!)

Dan! I think we need (and deserve?) to see some footage of those 3-point turns! They look pretty cozy in their seats. xox

love the stroller. i wish we’d gotten the peg seats and that stroller from the start, but instead we had graco seats and the triple decker, which is not NEARLY as much fun at the peg stroller. 🙂

tell me, though – do both of the buttons on the steering wheel work for you? without having the stroller in front of me, i can’t tell, but if i recall, only one of them works on mine, to tilt the steering wheel. i can’t figure out what the other one does. is the height of the SW supposed to be adjustable?

Pam – I think that top button may just be for decoration. Or, it may be overdrive. I haven’t gotten the thing out of first gear yet, so I’m not a hundred percent sure.

It’s funny – we had some friends who started with the Triple Decker – and they had a major problem with it (to the extent that, after being brushed off by the company, they complained to the government!!) They warned us and steered us toward the Peg (and also, happily, sold us their infant seats which were in primo condition). I just can’t wait to get out on the open road with this thing.

Hello! Stacy and Greg here (fellow TMM folks…and, most recently, parents to identical trip girls!). Just checking in to see how your family of 5 have been doing…saw this pic and wanted to ask what kind of stroller you ended up buying? We’re shopping around for one right now and could use some input! Trying to determine which is more important…shopping for the stroller…or the minivan. Hmmm. Hope all is well!

    HI Stacy and Greg!

    Let’s see:

    1) It’s a Peg Perego, which is probably the most expensive one out there. My dear grandmother (Omi) gave it to us as a lavish gift. I like it so far, but we haven’t used it (and we had to send the first one back because one of the wheels was messed up – that was a BIG to do). A lot of people seem happy w/ this one, but some others don’t, or don’t think it’s worthy the hefty price tag. Can’t let you know more than that yet!

    2) We got a Toyota Sienna minivan about a month before the boys were back, and absolutely love it. If you’re in a snowy place though you’ll want snow tires (the thing w/ snows drives better than our old Subaru Outback w/ all-wheel drive). The Honda Odyssey is nice too, but if you’re looking for the 8 passenger version (so you can fit all 3 girls in the same row), you’ll notice the Honda middle seat is beyond dinky. The Toyota’s is solid. Otherwise pretty similar cars as far as I could tell (maybe the Honda’s a touch sportier).

    Congrats on the girls!
