It’s the end of the world as we know it

My brain is mush. We had a full day, most of it spent away from the hospital. We built a crib, welcomed grandma Jane, I went to the gym, frantically worked on a mix of my New Year’s song for a local radio station, and late this evening dragged everyone out to a late showing of Milk (at long last). All systems in the joint are go. And the word on third floor is that brothers B and C, Pablo and Levi, are packing their bags and heading home tomorrow. So, our adventures in parenting are to begin earnest. I had it in my head to write some big epic blog post about the strangeness and wonder and fear all wrapped up in this particular juncture, but instead, as I’ve mentioned, I find myself with mushbrains and craving sleep. Might as well grab some up, since it ain’t gonna be on offer much longer.

Onward! Glad they’re beginning to come home.
One thing: considering the recent scare you got (and we shared in) with Satch, you should probably stop naming your posts things like “None more black” and “It’s the End of the World as we Know It”. You’re giving us heart attacks out here.

Hmm…interesting point – I’ve received some criticism in the past about giving people heart failure here. Sorry about that.
But it should be clear that no post with a popular culture reference is going to harbor seriously bad news, no?
And I was hoping for a little more love for all the well placed (if I do say so myself) Spinal Tap refs… ah well….
Thanks for the continued love and guidance…SQUID OCTOOOOOOOOO (it’s resonating through the apartment)…
