Things are still good!

Hi everyone,

Gosh – I may have raised expectations unsustainably high for this blog! This is just a quick note to let you all know that our three boys are doing well. I am currently away from the hospital for a little bit, and Alex is pumping and resting and resting and pumping and, as you can imagine, exhausted all the same. Will write more and post more pics as I can – definitely before the day ends. Pablo and Satchel are having a few issues, continued oxygen/lung stuff for the former, and a little heart murmur for the latter, but overall they are still progressing well. It seems like most of what’s happening is par for the course for 31-weekers, and the doctors have not sounded any panic alarms. We continue to be stunned at the consistent and excellent care all three boys are receiving, and at how human, kind, and competent the entire staff of Maine Medical has been in dealing with us and our boys.

More soon I promise!

I love your writing, and must be responsible for at least 200 of the last 2000 hits to the blog.. I also give you FULL PERMISSION to not update your blog for days… As your writing nurtures you then scribe away. But friend when the time comes that informing and entertaining us is no longer what entertains and nurtures you and your family, please allow yourself to keep us in the wings eagerly waiting.

Your posts move us so. We can re-read them when we need a fix!

I continue to hold love out to the boys and to Mama in her recovery, and you in your amazement.

PS Alex–the swelling goes away soon! My ankles were the size of my head three days after my c-section. I am so proud of you–in all your determination and care for you and your family.

Cat – you’re too sweet. I’m really touched by the feedback the blog has gotten. If I fall off and leave you hanging, you can fall back on 2.5 years of the best completely unread blog in America (modesty is my best trait!) I just assembled a little best hits there.

Elana – Babies R Us – where else? (I think we’re also at Target). Sweet of you to ask. When in doubt…diapers!!

Ring out wild bells oh joy – to read your words – to feel the excitement- the fullness… my love and cheers go out to you both
stay steady – get some sleep – communicate when you want to
but most of all – savor the moments (as you are) and all of you …this is a thankgiving indeed.
